“I commissioned this large-scale artwork following an initial consultation to discuss ideas, scale, and concept. The piece, titled Savannah, spans four panels with a total size of 194 x 368 cm. The painting depicts open expanses of an imagined African savannah at sunset, populated with wild animals, with the focal point being a figure looking into the distance in a moment of awe and reflection. Although we were working across a geographical distance, I was able to follow and engage with the development process throughout, which made the experience feel very collaborative and transparent. The final work has become a striking presence in my space and brings a real sense of warmth and uplift each day. It genuinely brightens my mornings when I leave for the office and is something I enjoy coming home to as well.”
