A Gap in Time Series

This series originally shown in an exhibition at Contemporary exhibition space, Chester in the United Kingdom, examines how humans physically and psychologically experience time and space when moving at the advanced speeds of flight.  It questions how a disrupted and distorted sense of time due to high speeds, varied exposure to dark, light and sleep wake cycles, affects behavior and perceptions of life.  A local community of commercial long haul pilots inputted their specific professional expertise as part of the creative process, in the form of electronic questionnaires and photo diaries.  The resulting outcomes are in photographic composite form featuring staged performances within imagined environments.
