Circle Series

Created during two years of living and working in Bangkok, Circle emerged from the repeated observation of found objects encountered while walking through the city's vibrant Chinatown district surrounding Yaowarat Road. Beyond the main thoroughfare, a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways revealed an ever-changing landscape of workshops, markets, discarded materials, and everyday artefacts, where the ordinary became a source of visual discovery.

The series focuses on the circular forms of industrial objects, including steel and plastic pipes, isolated from their functional context and reimagined as abstract compositions. Through photography and subsequent visual experimentation, these commonplace objects became studies of shape, rhythm, repetition, and spatial relationships. By shifting attention from utility to form, the works encourage a reconsideration of the overlooked details embedded within the urban environment, revealing unexpected moments of order, balance, and beauty within the apparent chaos of the city.

Rather than documenting Bangkok directly, Circle reflects an ongoing exploration of perception and visual language, demonstrating how sustained observation can transform familiar objects into contemplative studies of form, place, and experience.
