The Commodities series explores the movement of everyday goods through the global networks of shipping, rail, road and air transport that connect places across the world.
Created in response to an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape, the series reflects on how supply chains, trade routes and the movement of commodities are shaped by shifting borders, economic change and global interdependence. Cargo ships, freight trains, aircraft and shipping containers become visual symbols of a world in constant motion, where familiar objects undertake unseen journeys across vast distances.
Rather than celebrating globalisation, Commodities invites viewers to consider the fragile infrastructures that sustain everyday life and the political, economic and environmental forces that continue to reshape our interconnected world.
